What is TGS?
TGS
is a Pre-Load Advance Cargo Information security service application, PLACI.
The Pre-Load security service ensures that the air cargo supply chain is safe
and secure. It analyses shipments for potential risks and security threats.
This means that all air cargo coming in or going through the country must be
filed for security screening prior to loading.
Currently,
TGS supports three PLACI services:
·
United States (US) ACAS service
·
United Kingdom (UK) Pre-DICT service
·
Canada (CA) PACT service
·
United Arab Emirates (UAE) NAIC service
Whenever the country's security service identifies a potential threat,
TGS issues a hold or referral notice to the carrier. These notices must be
resolved before the shipment can be loaded.
Why TGS?
Watch the video
to learn more about why TGS is used and what its benefits are.
TGS allows carriers and forwarders
to fully comply with ACAS or similar programs like PACT or PRECISE and reduce
operational risk.
